Universities in Japan, Singapore & China dominate Indian Varsities in Asia Region World University Rankings 2012

According to Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2012, Indian varsities showed no improvement. The University of Tokyo from Japan ranked 27 worldwide is the Asia’s best Institute preceded by National University of Singapore (Singapore) & University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong).

An anxious look at the rankings revealed that IIT Kharagpur is the first Indian Institute to appear in the list of Asia World University Rankings. If you are hoping that the Institute has made atleast in the Top 100 you just deceive yourself, IIT Kharagpur is in the 226-250 ranking range. IIT Bombay (251-275) & IIT Roorkee (351-400) joined the show, last year none of the Indian Universities or Institutions made Rankings. This year three names have appeared and one should be thankful for it. The rankings are available on the below link, share your views!
