Every Dental College should have a Website by October end – DCI

The Dental Council of India (DCI) in a meeting has drawn a conclusion that every Dental College in the country should have a Website by October end. The website should host essential information such information on the college, course, infrastructure & the hospital the college is associated with. A move to benefit prospective students, digital presence of colleges can improve student enrollment. Sitting at home students will be able to browse through essential information such as course details, college bio, contact details and infrastructure facilities and university the Institute is affiliated to.

DCI has also instructed that each website should host college teaching staff information along with work experience & photograph. The deadline for this activity given by DCI is 31 October 2012.

It will be interesting to see how many Colleges fall inline with the decision. Share your views!

  1. Many teachers are not full time.Fool Proof Biometrics should be in place.In some cases so called full time teachers are full time practitioners. For example Drs WAng and Dr Debashis are full time practitioners are full time practitionersin Kolkatta but their names are shown as full time teachers in Bihar, Jarkhand. They are close associates of DCI President and it is not Good for the Profession. Hence both Web site with Fool Proof Biometrics is essential. DCI should not protect such people
