Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy had cleared the air by declaring his verdict on fee reimbursement policy in the State. The fee reimbursement policy will be applicable to only candidates whose ranks are in between 1 to 10,000. Such students who are considered to be toppers can avail the full reimbursement, the government will bear the cost.
Students with above 10,000 Rank in EAMCET need to bear an additional burden of Rs 15,000 to Rs 70,000 depending on the college fee structure. These students will not get full fee reimbursement, since the government has fixed the fee at Rs 35,000, only that amount will be refunded.
Meanwhile the task force will begin inspection of private professional colleges in September to inquire into the attendance of students and teachers, and infrastructure available as well as the performance of the students. The task force is expected to check the facilities in the private engineering colleges which have priced the fee above Rs 35,000.
