CMAT first edition’s deadline extended

The Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) which is conducted by AICTE for admissions into MBA / PGDM programmes in all AICTE approved colleges will be held twice a year. The best of the two scores can be submitted by an applicant, the first edition will kickoff during 27 September to 01 October 2012. The last date for submitting applications from candidates willing to appear for CMAT Sept. 2012 has been extended till 07 September 2012 instead of 02 September 2012.

The technical & management education regulatory body AICTE is in talks with higher educational authorities in each state to accept CMAT. Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra has expressed their consent to use CMAT scores for MBA admissions.

More number of students are expected to sit for the AICTE CMAT this year. Though the test will be held twice a year it is advisable to appear for both editions since only the best score will be considered.

There shall be negative marking for wrong answers, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted.
