It comes as no surprise to anyway when there are too many management entrance exams to take care, a mere 60,000 students have registered for CMAT which is to be held during 27 September to 01 October 2012 in ONLINE format. Despite efforts from AICTE, the less number could be because of the announcement AICTE made month ago stating that ‘CMAT will be held twice a year‘. Students need not appear for both versions of CMAT, though the best of the two scores are considered.
Candidates must note that all AICTE approved MBA colleges in India will accept CMAT score. It is unclear whether the CMAT is a replacement to state level CETs, since only few states have announced scrapping of state level management entrance exams. However a notice or flash news on CMAT official website states that ‘CMAT is the ONLY test for AICTE approved MBA colleges in all States and one of the five tests for PGDM courses’.
