Last year the EAMCET counselling and seat allotment was concluded on 15 August through web based counselling, however this year the EAMCET counselling dates haven’t been announced so far. After several discussions with college managements, the government has fixed a common fee of Rs 35,000 per year. The engineering colleges have to file an affidavit accepting the proposed fee slab, only then APSCHE can prepare the counselling schedule.
According to sources, few college managements are mulling over to hike the fee to Rs 50,200 instead of Rs 35,000. However most private engineering colleges have agreed for the Rs 35,000 slab. The counselling dates announcement will depend on the mutual understanding between private engineering colleges & government of Andhra Pradesh. The annual fee before hike used to be Rs 31,200, the difference is Rs 3800. If the colleges agree for Rs 35,000 the same fee will be implicated for both merit & management quota seats.
Parents & students are hoping for the outcome at the earliest.
Note: Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad on behalf of APSCHE.
