The uncertainty surrounding the EAMCET engineering counselling in the state of Andhra Pradesh will finally see a conclusion. According to sources, private engineering colleges have expressed their consent and accepted fee norms proposed by the state government. Affidavits will be submitted today by college managements accepted the revised fee structure i.e Rs 35,000 as annual tuition fee for both free & management quota seats.
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy lead the meeting with the managements of engineering colleges and successfully convinced all the engineering colleges to have a common fee structure a Deccan Chronicle report read. For a period of two years the proposed fee of Rs 35,000 per annum will be followed by all engineering colleges in the state. In return colleges have demanded that the government withdraw its decision to raid the institutions with task forces comprising IAS, IPS and vigilance officials to inspect their academic standards and infrastructure in colleges.
There will be no fee hike for MBA, MCA and B.Pharmacy courses in the state this year.
Note: According to highly placed sources the EAMCET counselling notification is likely to be released on 23 August 2012.
