VTU Warns Colleges Not To Collect Additional Fees

Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) has issued a circular warning colleges not to collect capitation fee and other additional fees from the students. Doing so may attract punitive actions and withdrawal of affiliation from the University & AICTE; a notification read. Earlier AICTE has also issues a notification prohibiting capitation fees, visit here. The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has disclosed the response feedback on Government seats fee, the fee structure breakup for Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Medical, Dental and ISM&H is mentioned here.

VTU is one of the biggest Technological University in India, having 186 colleges affiliated to it with under graduate course in 28 disciplines and PG Programme in 71 disciplines. The intake at UG level is about 67100 students and at the PG level it is about 12666 students.

Tuition fee for MBA & M.Tech Courses at VTU

MBA: Rs 50,000 per year

M.Tech: Rs 60,000 per year

  1. here iam basavaraj requesting you that, engg coleges collecting other fees and development fees in terms of lakhs . so please limit the range of amount which have to collect from the students. if not lot of poor students will not get engg education in such institutions.
