Odisha To Get 150 More MBBS Seats This Year


The Medical Council of India has given approval for over 150 medical seats in Odisha. 100 Medical seats are sanctioned for Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, Rourkela and 50 seats are added to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhubaneswar. With the addition of the 100 seats in Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, Rourkela the total seats under the OJEE pool shoots up to 650 seats.

Lack of clarity on the seat matrix has slowed down the counselling process in the State, the counselling process is expected to start soon. Of the 150 new seats 100 seats of Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, Rourkela are to be filled through OJEE score and the 50 seats in AIIMS, Bhubaneswar will be filled through an entrance exam conducted by AIIMS.
