The Indian School of Business (ISB) announced its placement results for the PGP Class of 2012, a total of 631 offers have been made for the 528 participating students. A whopping 348 companies including several first time recruiters participating in the selection process. The leading sectors are consulting & technology while recruitment in the e-commerce sector saw a high this year, Amazon, Cleartrip, Expedia Flipkart, Makemytrip and Myntra have made 28 offers this year.
Despite downturn in the global economy International placements remained unaffected, a total of 92 International job offers are made compared to previous year job offers of 83. The positions offered were across 11 countries namely, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, UK, USA, Dubai, Nigeria, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Hong Kong. Leading companies such as Apple, Astra Zeneca, Bloomberg, Booz, BT, Delta Partners, Expedia, GE, Goldman Sachs, and PRTM were among a list of 73 participating companies this year. Some of the global companies like Novartis and Siemens made offers across multiple countries and with varied roles.
