Combined Journalism Entrance Test (CJET) 2012 Date & Time Changed

The combined journalism entrance test (CJET) 2012 is an entrance test for B.A. (Hons.) Journalism course under the University of Delhi. The course is offered across Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, Kamala Nehru College, Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Kalindi College and Maharaja Agrasen College. CJET 2012 has been changed to 3rd June 2012 between 3:30 PM To 5:30 PM, further more the deadline for submitting the filled in application forms has been extended to 18 May 2012.

This year the candidates can apply through both online & offline modes. The fee structure for the application form is as shown in the table below:

CJET 2012 format

The written examination is designed to test the aptitude of the candidates to pursue the B.A. (Hons.) Journalism course. There is no prescribed syllabus for the entrance examination. The objective part of the question paper shall test the general awareness and current affairs and the subjective part will test the candidate’s knowledge on the following four sections, each section will be given equal marks:

  1. English Comprehension and Grammar
  2. Politics
  3. Media Issues
  4. Social Issues

The duration of test will be 2 hours. Extra time will be given to the candidates for filling up details on the test booklet , marking attendance and collection of test material etc. The candidate should report at their respective examination centers latest by 3 PM on the day of the test. The examination will start at 3:30 PM and the booklet will be collected at 5:30 PM. The test booklet will have both the subjective and objective questions. There will be space specified in the booklet itself to answer the subjective questions. Since the candidates will have to answer the objective questions on the OMR sheet they should bring pencils and erasers with them and follow the instructions accordingly. The scheme of examination may be changed on the recommendation of the admission committee.

  1. I would like to know whether this C-JET is common journalism entrance test or Combined journalism entrance test?
    Secondly the date of examination is 27th may or 3rd june for delhi university because in some sites its still mentioning that its on 27th may 2012!
