National Board of Examinations Will Conduct NEET-PG In 2013


The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has agreed to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for postgraduate admissions (NEET PG), NEET PG was supposed to be held on 8th January, 2012 (Sunday). However vowing several reasons NEET PG was postponed to 2013, sources reported that Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has asked National Board of Education to take up the responsibility of conducting NEET PG in 2013. After holding discussions the board of governors of National Board of Education has agreed to conduct NEET PG in 2013.

Initially Medical Council of India sought help from AIIMS to conduct NEET PG in 2012; the efforts of MCI got ruined when AIIMS disagreed to hold NEET PG stating infrastructure deficit and manpower gaps.

The important news is that NEET PG will take place in 2013 and National Board of Education will be conducting the first ever national level common medical entrance exam for MS and MD courses commencing from academic session 2013. MCI official website too confirms the same, check here.

  1. I dont think PVT medical colleges mafias and goondas and corrupt politicians will allow such move to happen successfully. Anyway its very good for middle class and poor class meritorious students deprived of admission infront of money power of crorepatees parents whose wards are even bogus students as compared to middle class students. Lets see in this country what happens.

    • It won’t be tough compared to AIIMS & JIPMER hence they are opting out. In my view it will be easy since it is a common exam for many state students together.

  2. You may feel good to hear. But will pvt medical college lobby from AP/Karnataka/Maharastra/TN will allow to happen. Thousands of Crores of Ruppese will be at stake invested by powerful and corrupt politicians of these state. May God bless National Board of Examinations so that they would be successful in their endeavour.
