CBSE Intends To Launch International Curriculum


The Human Resource Minister Kapil Sibal is more than active in making remarkable changes to the Indian Education System. He has been instrumental in launching World’s low cost tablet PC Aakash for education purpose. He has also announced several changes to Engineering, Management and Science entrance exams.

According to sources the HRD Minister nodded to allow International Curriculum across CBSE Schools on a trial basis. The new curriculum (CBSE-I) is designed keeping in view of those students who wish to move abroad after their XII Std. Curriculum will be delivered completely online and cost of registration is estimated to be about Rs 150,000. Pilot testing will be on soon where in few Kendriya Vidyalayas, Government and Private Schools will be tested with CBSE-I curriculum. (via)

Sibal has also launched National Vocational Education Qualification Framework (NVEQF) to be implemented in polytechnics, Engineering Colleges and other colleges in the University systems from 2012-13.
