NDTV Broadcast Training Program For Graduates

The 10-month NDTV Broadcast Training Programme is a valuable opportunity for graduates to learn from the pioneers in the industry and enter this exciting domain with a professional edge.

The programme provides for an internship with all the channels of NDTV Ltd., including NDTV 24/7, NDTV India, NDTV Profit, NDTV Hindu, Good Times, and the web-based Convergence. It is independent of any other broadcast training program and is only offered by NDTV.


The course is open to graduates from any field (under the age of 28) who are keen to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. Academic and extra-curricular achievements will be valued in the selection process.

The programme is designed for 10 months

For the first 4 months, the candidates will go through formal instructions in classrooms and workshops devoted to writing, camerawork, voice training, editing, and more. Click here to view the curriculum of the programme

Over the next 6 months, they will be placed as apprentices to train under mentors and finally as interns in different departments of NDTV

Candidates can apply for the first batch starting in April or the second batch starting in August

Each batch has 45 seats

The total fee for the programme is Rs 1.90 lakhs (plus applicable taxes)

If required, candidates can propose an installment plan for the fee after the final selection is announced

All apprentices will be certified by NDTV upon completion of the programme

Students are evaluated throughout the programme on newspaper sessions, assignments based on news and current affairs, camera and editing skills, and news stories.

During the internship, students will be evaluated on the basis of aptitude, skills, and ability with equal weightage of 33% each.

Fill in the form and send it to us with a demand draft of Rs.1000 (in favour of NDTV Ltd.) at NDTV Media Institute (Opp. Archana Complex,B-45,Top Floor,Greater Kailash-1, New Delhi-110048) by 1st March 2012.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to appear for an audio-visual test and an interview.

Both batches (April and August) will be selected concurrently. You may state your preference in the form or at the interview.
