IIM Indore Hints Recession; Seeks External Help For Placements

IIMs are considered to be among the premier business schools in India, if your notion is that once we get into IIMs the placement is guaranteed in blue chip companies with a huge pay. But the situation may not be so this year, the global economic crisis may hit hard at India too.

The market slow down hinted by IIM Indore is pushing them to appoint external placement agencies to place their final year students this year, as reported by Economic Times.

Reportedly IIM Indore is in talks with Global Hunt India Pvt Ltd, a company which offers recruitment and selection services. However sources indicated that nothing has been finalized so far apart from the initial talks.

Although seeking external help may be a worrying factor but the best part is that the Institute (s) want to make sure that they keep the record of 100% placements.

IIM Indore last year has launched an Integrated Post Graduate Programme for +2 students of all streams, you can learn more about IPM course here.

What is your take? Is there a possibility of placement drop or average salary coming down this year? Share your views!
