The Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test (CTET) is an entrance test conducted by CBSE for aspiring teachers willing to join CBSE schools. Every year CBSE conducts the CTET twice; once in January and in June. Last time over 790,000 applicants registered for CTET; this year the number is looking even more promising. CBSE indicated the number to be close to 870,000; the competition is becoming tough as many are exploring teaching as a profession.
CBSE will start issuing the admit cards for CTET from 03 January 2012; applicants whose status is not shown on the website should approach the Assistant Secretary, CTET Unit, CBSE between 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M during 03.01.2012 to 12.01.2012 giving details of the Post Office, Date of Dispatch, Original Receipt of Postal Dispatch, Photostat Copy of the Application Form/ Confirmation Page and
Demand Draft, one Photograph (as pasted on the Application Form/ Confirmation Page).
In case the applicant status is shown on the website but the applicant has not received the admit card by 18 January 2012; applicants can download their admit card from the website. Such candidates should approach the center with a valid photo id one day before of the examination and get the details verified.
