Deccan Chronicle reported that Osmania University is in the race to conduct EAMCET 2012; years long it was the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) which administered EAMCET. This year OU might grab the opportunity of conducting EAMCET. Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET), is an entrance examination required for admission to engineering and medical colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. Many other colleges offering graduation courses like BDS, B.Pharm., BSc., Pharm.D. etc. require qualification in EAMCET.
The state higher education authorities will take it’s call in a week or so on whether to rope in Osmania University or leave it to JNTU Hyderabad which was holding EAMCET from about 13 years.
