Indian Student Shot Dead in Manchester, UK


Anuj Bidve is an Indian student who enrolled for postgraduate courses in Lancaster University. He is aged 23 and is based out from Pune, Maharashtra according to his Facebook profile.

He was part of a group of nine male and female students, all Indian, who were staying in a nearby hotel for a break in Manchester over the Christmas holidays.

Two white man who were walking by had a little conversation with Anuj and shot him on his hand. The victim collapsed and was immediately taken to the hospital according to “The Telegraph‘. He was declared dead, police suspect possibility of a racist attack.

Friends and well wishers of Anuj Bidve are seeking help from the Indian Government & Media to seek help to get Anuj Bidve body to India. One of her cousin has posted a status message on her Facebook wall to seek support from public.

“My cousin, Anuj Bidve, 23 was shot dead in Manchester yesterday. Please help us get his body back to India! We appeal to the UK govt., the Indian Government and to all our well-wishers. Please help us if you can. Please reach us at 93250-18721.”

Please help them to your ability. urges to the Indian Government and UK Government to do the needful help to Anuj Bidve’s parents.

    i study in kendriya vidyalaya in hyderabad……..according to cbse, studens from andhra pradesh are not eligible to write aipmt………since iam from a cbse affiliated school am i also not eligible to attempt the exam.please reply at the earliest
