Our first ever poll was about NEET & MCI started on October 2, 2011 @ 11:03 pm precisely the poll question we asked was ‘When is the right time for MCI to conduct NEET?’. About 470 users have participated in the poll by the time this post was written. The results say that majority of users (57%) have supported NEET and felt MCI should hold NEET in 2012. 17% of users (out of 470) felt that NEET should be cancelled, while 26% of them felt NEET should be held in the year 2013.
We are not drawing conclusions based on the polls, these are the views that has been expressed by our readers. We will run our next poll; which will also be related to NEET. The question we want to ask is ‘Do you think MCI will conduct NEET in 2012?‘. Keeping the delay in mind; MCI long ago has announced NEET PG officially on their website, till date there was no announcement about NEET PG. One message reads on MCI website, it is time for that to change to something meaningful.
“NEET-PG: The common entrance test (CET) for admission to Medical Post-graduate Courses across the country i.e. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Medical Postgraduate Courses – MD/MS/Diploma (NEET-PG ) shall be held in Jan-Feb 2012 for admissions in the academic year 2012-2013. The syllabus is that of MBBS described in the MCI Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997. The multiple choice questions (MCQs) would be based on the MBBS syllabus as well as the knowledge that needs to be acquired during internship which is also described in the said Regulations. The distribution of questions, model questions and method of tie breaking for ranking would be placed on the website in the due course.”
AIIMS has refused to conduct NEET PG, recently AIIMS have expressed their inability to conduct NEET UG as well. AIIMS & JIPMER will opt out from NEET whether MCI conducts in 2012 or 2013, mean while CMC Vellore has announced their PG Medical Entrance Test. Looking at all these please participate in the poll, ‘Do you think MCI will conduct NEET in 2012?’. The poll is on your right hand side.
Please participate and let your opinion known and see how many think like you!
