ISAT 2012 Scheduled on 21 April 2012


Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), the first Space University of Asia, offers courses from undergraduate to doctoral level in Space Science and Technology. IIST offers B.Tech programme in  Aerospace Engineering,  Avionics and Physical Sciences. Admissions to this programme are based on the admission test, ISAT, conducted by IIST.

Assistance is provided to all B.Tech students to cover the cost of education, boarding, lodging and  healthcare. On successful completion of the course with prescribed academic standards, the students will be absorbed in ISRO as Scientists/Engineers.

For the B. Tech programme for the next academic year (2012-13), IIST announces ISAT-2012 (IIST Admission Test – 2012) on Saturday 21st  April, 2012  09.00 to 12.00 hrs. Online registration begins on 1st  November 2011.

ISAT 2012 will be held in the following centres: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Dispur,  Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi, Vishakapatnam.

How to Apply for ISAT

Candidates can apply on-line in the prescribed ISAT Application Form that will be made available shortly in the web-site of IIST ( only.  Necessary guidelines for registration of the application, payment of examination fee, eligibility, reservation, centres for examination etc. will also be provided in the website. Candidates must ensure that they satisfy all the eligibility conditions for appearing in ISAT while applying.
