Schulich School of Business is Coming to Hyderabad


Toranto based Schulich School of Business also called as Canada’s Global Business School™ is moving it’s ground to set up a Business School in Hyderabad, India. Schulich is teaming up with Indian lead infrastructure developer GMR Group for the campus’s physical infrastructure. The campus will be known as Schulich School of Business—GMR Campus.

Schulich School of Business—GMR Campus will host 120 MBA students, up to 40% of students will be from outside of India. There are plans to add an executive M.B.A. and other programs later. The campus is expected to host MBA Programmes from the year 2013. Schulich’s MBA program is ranked #1 in Canada by ForbesThe Economist and Expansion (a Time Warner publication based in Mexico City).

Shri Kapil Sibal, Hon’ble Minister for HRD, Communications and IT, Govt of India will be the chief guest, and Shri. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt of Andhra Pradesh will preside over the grand opening ceremony.

We have earlier reported about GMR’s Rs 1540 crore investment in education through the company’s non profit (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative GMR Varalakshmi Foundation. Sources mentioned GMR will provide land and physical infrastructure for Schulich School subject to approval under the Foreign Educational Institutions Bill.

Hyderabad hosts Indian School of Business which is consistently ranked among the top global business schools, addition of another popular international business school to the city of pearls (Hyderabad) will add to it’s global reputation.

Entry of foreign educational institutions in India was widely discussed in the past couple of years and Hyderabad is witnessing one such dream. Indian students ‘International Placements are awaiting soon’ be ready :)!
