IIM Indore’s IPGP Queries Explained


Recently we have covered information about the new initiative of IIM Indore in introducing an Integrated Post Graduate Programme for higher secondary/ Inter / +2 / Equivalent students. We were able to contact the official from the admissions department of IIM Indore and had a quick Q & A session on phone.

The conversation is as below:

Q) Eligibility requirement for IPGP, will students from all groups in higher secondary considered?

A) Yes, all students from all the groups are considered.

Q) Is SAT score mandatory for applying for IPGP?

A) Either the 60% eligibility rule or the SAT score, so students who have 60% and above are eligible even if they haven’t appeared for SAT. You can get the eligibility details here.

Q) How many students will be shortlisted for AT & PI?

A) Roughly 850 students will be called for AT & PI

Q) Will there be a group discussion?

A) No only Personal Interview follows after AT

Q) What will be the AT pattern?

A) Initially the official has said he is unaware of the test details, he said the information of the AT will be disclosed in due course of time.

Q) Will the AT similar to CAT?

A) Yes, but the difficulty level will not be that high. The test will be designed keeping in view of higher secondary students and the level will be of X std.

The general format was briefed to us

  • Verbal
  • Quantitative (maths)
  • Logical reasoning
  • Data interpretation

After the assessment we can suggest students to concentrate on problem solving skills, English (synonyms,  antonyms, paragraph reading & answering), Jumbled numbers, relationships, mathematics of class x, history of class x & general knowledge. Brush up your skills, time is what it matters to qualify for the test so improve speed.

IIM Indore hasn’t officially disclosed information about the Aptitude Test, probably the information will be disclosed after the shortlisting of students, to apply for the course one need not have knowledge about the AT. So apply if you are eligible and if you are shortlisted you will be provided with the necessary information to prepare for the Aptitude Test.
