Four Indian Students are among the World’s most brilliant scholars this year


Gates Cambridge Trust has announced 90 new Gates Cambridge Scholars for 2011 entry. 30 Scholars were selected in New York in early February and 60 in Cambridge in late March, four among them are Indians.

The new Scholars came from 29 countries and will pursue a wide range of subjects at graduate level at the University of Cambridge. The details of the four Indian students who are awarded scholars this year are as follows:

  1. Mr Raghu Mahajan
  2. Mr Anand Shrivastava
  3. Mr Sukrit Silas
  4. Ms Divya Venkatesh

The scholarship programme was set up in 2000 and funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, enables academically gifted postgraduates with a strong interest in social leadership and responsibility to study at the University of Cambridge.
