The drama continues over NEET UG, Andhra Pradesh wants to bunk NEET UG in the coming year and mulling plans to avoid NEET UG forever. According to sources, AP government wants a one year relief from NEET UG and wants it’s students to sit for EAMCET. NEET UG is a nation wide common medical entrance test for MBBS or BDS courses in Government & Private Medical colleges in India.

NEET UG is a proposal from Medical Council of India replacing state level medical entrance tests. AP is counter acting on the announcement made by CBSE regarding the maiden NEET UG. A press release indicated that NEET UG will take place on 05 May 2013 (Sunday). The test will be conducted by CBSE, seat distribution will be 85% state students and 15% for national students from each state. Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir have different constitutional rights under articles 371 (A) and 371 (D) and these states need not share any medical seats to a nation level test.

  1. We were working for our boards for 11th-12th and suddenly they decide for us to join NEET. This is totally unfair. 90% students dont want NEET this year. We are from gujarat and we are getting much difficulties.
we have just 6months for us to study for whole neet..unfair

  2. The politicians of AP have taken thousands of crores from PVT medical colleges mafias to stop NEET so as to enable them to sell their seats like a fish market through brokers and mediators without any merit. These acts are anti poor and anti social and against common middle class.

  3. As always AP is hungry for money. This year again they want to sell their seats for total money and no merit. Their EAMCET exam is total corrupt with 100% seat booking before the exam. I wonder how Lokesh Agarwal cracked AIIMS , BHU, and AIPMT but could not get a seat from EAMCET in the 2012 exam. When dont these states let the central CBSE conduct the all india exam where these states will have their same reservations for their domiciled students. If this year again NEET is not going to happen, then again a lot of meritorious students will not be selected and the criminals with black money will be sending their students to study.
