AICTE Announces CMAT Dates For 2013 MBA / PGDM Admissions

The technical & management education regulatory body (AICTE) has launched a management entrance exam titled Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) this year. CMAT which was supposed to supersede state level management entrance exams & all other national level management entrance exams leaving CAT has remained an optional management entrance exam. As per the directions given by the Supreme Court, CMAT is not the only test; all the five national level entrance exam scores can be used by Business Schools even for the academic year 2013 -2014. MBA aspirants can take CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA & CMAT and hence CMAT is not a mandatory test.

AICTE has announced that it wants to hold CMAT twice a year and the best of the two scores can be sent to Business Schools. The first test for next academic year admissions is on cards, the test like last year will be held in ONLINE mode only. The important dates for CMAT 2013 – 2014 are as below.
