Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued application forms for ‘Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)‘ to be held in January 2012. This year CBSE will conduct CTET in online mode also apart from the regular paper pencil mode.
Last year CTET was held on 26 June 2011 and over 790,000 candidates have registered for the test and only 14% managed to clear the test.

Application procedure for CTET 2012 to be held in January
The online submission of particulars may be made at website www.ctet.nic.in. The candidates should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. On submission of details, a Confirmation page with Registration No. shall be generated. Candidates are required to take printout of Confirmation page and paste photograph, sign in the space earmarked for the purpose. The confirmation Page is to be sent by Registered/Speed Post to CBSE (NOT BY COURIER) to ” The Assistant Secretary (CTET Unit), Central Board of Secondary Education, ‘Shiksha Sadan’, 17, Rouse Avenue, New Delhi – 110002” along with original Demand Draft (if fee paid by Demand Draft) for further processing so as to reach latest by 30.11.2011 . Application received beyond this date will not be accepted.
Payment can be made as follows
By Credit/Debit Card
or
Demand Draft in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi drawn in any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi. Write your Name, Address, Mobile No. and Registration No. on the back of the demand draft.

The forms for the second test in 2012 has to be announced in June or July, don’t know the reasons for the delay. The possible reason is the postponed test of last CTET due to election in some states.
