Medical Council of India (MCI) will conduct NEET-UG in the month of May 2012, as per a report MCI will exempt AIIMS & JIPMER to conduct their own entrance test without imposing NEET. Which means AIIMS medical entrance test & JIPMER medical entrance test will not be discontinued despite NEET-UG.
AFMC medical entrance test for Armed Forces Medical College might be scrapped, meanwhile Andhra Pradesh based Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences has reportedly announced that the University will not hold EAMCET in 2012.
