AIIMS & JIPMER Still Good – Despite NEET

Medical Council of India (MCI) will conduct NEET-UG in the month of May 2012, as per a report MCI will exempt AIIMS & JIPMER to conduct their own entrance test without imposing NEET. Which means AIIMS medical entrance test & JIPMER medical entrance test will not be discontinued despite NEET-UG.

AFMC medical entrance test for Armed Forces Medical College might be scrapped, meanwhile Andhra Pradesh based Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences has reportedly announced that the University will not hold EAMCET in 2012. Which means Andhra Pradesh will participate in NEET UG 2012, first ever common medical entrance test.

The present political drama in state has worried students more than anything else; schools and colleges were forced to shutdown by the Telangana supporters; in protest for a separate State. MBBS aspirants will have to adopt to something new for next year (NEET-UG). There will not be EAMCET for medical college admissions next year onwards.

  1. AIIMS Very good if you have 25-30 Lakhs with you for rural students.
NEET very bad for rural students………????

    Jai Deka saab.

  2. aiims nd jipmer arent under mci so they cant command those 2 colleges…. they r autonomous bodies…..
cbse mci nd every1 running them is mad… literally u want doctors but dont want 2 provide seats
logic nam ki to cheez hi nhi hai inme bache 4 lakh nd seats 40 000
cbse is a curse on this country’s progress
mci is an epitome of corruption favouring private colleges so dat they can sell seats and fill dey pockets

    • It has become really really frustrating now……..it has been more than two months since this topic is under hot discussion ….but no significant result has arrieved…if they don’t want NEET to be there in 2012 ,let it not be but atleast announce it …make it clear….so that we can prepare well for AIPMT with a clear mindset.
n Razibul do u think mailing to MCI is going to help …these least empathetic people will not even bother to give the very first look to these mails…..they have made even the education system a great political game.

  6. Thank God , NTR University of Health sciences in very high tech in manupulation of MBBS admissions.
I will be great releif for MBBS aspirants if the admission will also be held by MCI .

  7. plz frnds tell me what rank at least one has to obtain to get a seat in MBBS.i.e If one secures a rank 50,000(AIR) will be able to get admitted in to MBBS or not.

  8. IF they exempt aiims and jipmer then why they are conducting neet? because every bright student will again have to appear for both entrance examinations and the basic cause of neet that is to reduce the number of examination strain will remain intact.

  9. It would have been more better if there would be only a single exam i.e NEET and there would not be any other exams like AIIMS & JIPMER..If mci really wants for the benefit of all students then why they exempt AIIMS and JIPMER from NEET…in my opinion there should be no more AIIMS,JIPMER,AFMC and etc etc despite of NEET…
